Last updated 18 July 2026. This notice explains what Cocktail Finder collects, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Who is responsible

Cocktail Finder is operated by Man Cave Geek. Privacy questions and account-data requests can be sent to mancavegeek@gmail.com.

Information we use

Why we use it

We use account and saved-bar information to provide the service you request; security and moderation information for our legitimate interests in protecting the service and community; and uploaded content to review and publish your contribution. We do not currently use account data for advertising or sell personal information.

Google and service providers

If you choose Google login, your browser is redirected to Google and Google processes information under its own privacy terms. Hosting, email delivery and infrastructure providers may process limited information for us. Information may be processed outside the UK where a provider uses an appropriate legal transfer mechanism.

Retention

Account information is kept while the account remains active and for a reasonable period needed for security, disputes and legal obligations. Pending or rejected community submissions may be retained for moderation records. Password-reset and verification tokens expire automatically. Browser storage remains until you clear it or the application removes it.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal information, or object where processing relies on legitimate interests. You can clear browser storage through your browser and stop using Google login by disconnecting the application from your Google account. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if a concern is not resolved.

Cookies and analytics

Cocktail Finder uses a strictly necessary secure session cookie for signed-in accounts. Anonymous tool choices use local browser storage. Google Analytics is used on the production website to understand aggregated usage, such as pages visited and general interaction patterns. Google may set or read analytics identifiers as part of this service. You can limit cookies through your browser settings.
